Come out to the Macaulay house for an all-day drop-in session with DCMF’s Songwriter in Residence, Owen Steel to experiment with creating instrumental soundscapes – this Sunday, January 19th, between 1pm and 9pm.
Get out of your comfort zone, get cozy, and try free-writing through sound-making. People of all ages and skill levels are invited to experiment with an assortment of instruments and objects. We will layer sounds and create improvisational drone music that can help you relax and boost creativity. Think of it as stretching for your mind, to encourage more focused songwriting, to get through writer’s block, and have some fun!
Can’t make it? Not to worry. There is a shorter session scheduled for Sunday, January 26th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. And don’t forget! Check out Owen Steel live in Dawson City.
