Make a film in 2 days.
The competition begins at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022.
Participants will be given 48 hours from the time of registration.
Join in on this Yukon-wide event!
Participants have the option to apply for the Yukon-Only challenge and/or the Canada-Wide challenge. For the Yukon-Only version, one “key” that must be used in the film will be revealed at the start of the Challenge. The “key” has to be incorporated into your film in any way (physically, verbally, etc). Participants outside the Whitehorse or Dawson area may participate and can privately upload their film to YouTube or Vimeo or send the links to us. We must have the link by the deadline on Sunday. The Canada-Wide competition has the same rules, but with 5 “keys” to be incorporated in to the film.
Films can be delivered/links sent to KIAC or the YFS starting on Sunday, November 20. Drop off films at the KIAC office on Sunday between 5 and 6pm or Email a download link to filmfest@kiac.ca. For YFS entrants email download link to tech@yukonfilmsociety.com or drop off the films at the office between 3pm to 6pm. Please keep your links private until after the screenings.
Participants outside the Whitehorse or Dawson area may participate and can upload their film to You Tube or Vimeo or send them to us via an ftp site. We must have the link by the deadline on Sunday. Please do not make your link public.
All films wil be screened on November 23rd in Whitehorse and Dawson City.
