Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) is seeking a Office Admin & Communications Manager based in Dawson City, Yukon to join our team.
Position Title: Office Admin & Communications Manager
Duration: Permanent Position
Flexible Start Date: December 9, 2025 – January 13th, 2026 (flexible start date for the right candidate)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday 9am-5pm (some flexible work hours required, including occasional weekends and evenings)
Location: Dawson City, Yukon
Salary: The starting salary for this position is $50,012 annually ($32.06/hr)

About the Position:
Under the direction of the Operations and Outreach Directors, the Office Admin & Communications Manager is responsible for acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the facility, provide clear and accurate communications about KIAC programming to the public, and provide public access to the KIAC facility by overseeing member use and rentals. Additionally, they will support KIAC staff by overseeing facility upkeep and offering administrative support for programs and events.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage front desk operations and support daily office administration.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with keen attention to detail and proofreading.
- Experience maintaining digital and physical filing systems, membership databases, and administrative records.
- Proficiency with online tools and platforms such as Google Workspace, social media, websites, and email marketing.
- Experience creating and managing website content, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- The ability to coordinate event and volunteer administration, ticketing, and public communications.
- Practical knowledge of office, facility, and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming workspace.

Workshop Instructors
Each year, we offer workshops in a variety of different mediums and skill levels, from beginner to working professional, ranging from afternoon classes to multi-day intensives. Examples of past workshops: Intro to Screen Printing, Mosaic Birdhouses, Tap Dancing for Adults, Kids Dance, Watercolour Painting, Stained Glass, Soundscape Composition, Ceramics, and much more!
Workshop Instructor wages are $25-$50/hr depending on experience.
