Mary Longman, a visual artist and Associate Professor of Art and Art History at the University of Saskatchewan, has written an exhibition text for Joi Arcand’s show “Through That Which Is Scene.”

Arcand’s show is at the ODD Gallery until July 30. Dioramas, ViewMasters and a model train are just a few of the unique ways Joi Arcand explores her Cree-European family history. The result is a playful, political exhibition.
