Charles Hegsted is a Yukon-based rapper and producer with 20 years of experience in the northern hip-hop community. This youth-driven workshop will explore different styles of RnB, rap and hip-hop production including production, sampling, lyric writing and freestyling. Bring your own rhymes, beats or songs if you have them, or just come as you are! all levels of skills and experience are welcome. Charles will be assisted by local rapper John from Dawson.
This workshop is part of KIAC’s Youth Art Series, presented in partnership with the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Youth Centre. KIAC would like to gratefully acknowledge support from the Yukon Government’s Youth Investment Fund which has made this program possible.
