The 2014 Youth Art Enrichment program is underway! 36 high school students from across the Yukon are participating in intensive art making workshops from today until Saturday, This years’ workshops are Improv Theatre with George Maratos, Carving with Ken Anderson, Film Animation with Dan Sokolowski and Handmade Prints with Meshelle Melvin. The public is invited to some and see the results of this program on Saturday night. Prints and carvings will be at the TH Heritage Hall at 8:00 and animations and an improv show will be at Danoja Zho Cultural Centre at 8:30. Work from the program will also be exhibited at the Commissioner’s Youth Showcase at the Old Fire Hall in Whitehorse on November 26th, at the Yukon Art Centre in December, and at Robert Service School in the New Year.
