Dawson Daily News Print & Publishing Festival- update

Dawson Daily News Print & Publishing Festival will be happening as part of the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival. We look forward to connecting with writers, print-makers, publishers and storytellers in new and exciting ways this summer.

We will be encouraging regional writers, print-makers, storytellers, and publishers, along with artists practicing all mediums, to consider applying to present their work at the 22nd annual Yukon Riverside Arts Festival June 9 – 12, 2022.

Deadline for artist proposals: April 8th, 2022

Our application guidelines are flexible, to allow for the artist/crafter/writer/publisher to bring forth their wildest hopes and dreams. The final logistics of the projects will be made through conversation with KIAC staff, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us with even just early thoughts on a project. We want to celebrate the community, and the community is you!

If you are looking for inspiration, past festival projects and events have included: exhibitions, readings, printmaking and creative writing workshops, seminars and discussions on writing and publishing, ongoing artist projects, a collaborative publication production with writers and printmakers, hands-on artist demonstrations, performances, live radio broadcasts, writing competitions, collaborative comic-making, artist talks, lectures, and more.

Please check out the 2022 Call for Proposals, and feel free to contact us at events@kiac.ca if you’d like to discuss your idea further!
