This course will cover how to “scour” fabrics (a technical term!), what mordant and fibers to use, how much plant material to gather for a successful dye bath, and safe handling of dyes. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have an introductory understanding of the process and should feel comfortable experimenting on their own. In addition, participants will come away with a variety of samples to take home for future reference.
