Reading with Berton House Writer-in-Residence Trish Salah

The Dawson City Community Library is pleased to host a presentation by Berton House Writer-In-Residence Trish Salah.
Trish Salah is a poet and a professor of gender studies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She works in the area of gender, sexuality, race, and minority writing and art. Salah is the author of Lyric Sexology, Vol. 1 and Wanting in Arabic, for which she won a Lambda Literary Award.
Salah is the writer-in-residence at Berton House from April to June 2019, where she is working on book two of her Lyric Sexology. This is a book-length essay in poetic form that reflects on the history of transgender and racial fantasies in anthropological, literary and travel writing.
