Presentation by Writer-in-Residence Carleigh Baker

Join Berton House Writer-in-Residence Carleigh Baker for a presentation on the work she’s been doing during her time in Dawson City.

About Carleigh: Carleigh Baker is a Métis/Icelandic writer from Vancouver. She was a finalist for the 2017 Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize for her debut collection of stories, Bad Endings. During her January-March stay at Berton House, Baker will be working on a novel set in the Peel River Watershed, based on a 21-day canoe trip she took from Tombstone Territorial Park to the Mackenzie Delta. Baker will also be hosting a weekly radio show live from Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in territory on CFYT Radio Dawson, airing Sundays from 1-2pm PT.
