DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, June 11 | 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM\nODD Gallery\nFree | All Ages Welcome \nJoin artist-in-residence Justin for an evening exploring the intersections of art\, ecology\, architecture\, and the more-than-human world. As part of the ODD Gallery’s Re:Imagined | Re:Create reclaimed public art\, artist-in-residence program\, developed in partnership with STEPS Public Art\, Justin will share insights into his artistic practice and current residency research\, which focuses on creating site-responsive artworks that support local ecosystems and biodiversity. \nThis event also serves as the soft launch of the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival. Following the talk\, festival artists and community members are invited to a casual meet-and-greet at Peggy’s Restaurant from 8:00–10:00 PM. \nJustin’s new public art installation will be featured as a stop on the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival Gallery Hop on June 12 and will remain installed at Macaulay House following the festival.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a pride screen printing workshop at KIAC! \nOn Saturday June 27th from 4-7pm we will be making 2 layer prints onto posters\, textile\, or shirts. \nWe will be experienting with blending colors on screens with and without emulsion\, and writing our own messages for the prints. \nNo experience with screen printing required. There will be opportunities to learn more about the process during the workshop! \nRegister here so we know how many people to plan for! \nPay what you can at the door! Suggested donation is $10. \nOpen to all ages. Come with a parent if you are under 15 please!

SUMMARY:Dawson City Pride: Love Empire and more!
DESCRIPTION:Saturday June 27th from 7-9pm at Macaulay House we are celebrateing PRIDE!! \nAugust Klintberg’s Public Stage\, Love Empire is set up in the back yard of Macaulay house. Folks are invited to use the stage to make declarations of love to something or someone. Beneath the stage is a crawlspace outfitted with a sleeping bag and pillows for more private realizations of those feelings. \nWe will also have supplies for letter writing to send love letters to freinds\, family\, and lovers all over the world! \nCupcakes and lemonade will be provided. And if its hot enough we may set up a sprinkler!!! \n
