DESCRIPTION:KIAC’s Artist-in-Residency Program is OPEN for New Applications 2026/27 \nAPPLICATIONS OPEN: October 21st\, 2025\nRESIDENCY DATES AVAILABLE:  September to December 2026 and April to July 2027\nLOCATION: Dawson City\, Yukon – Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Territory\nAPPLICATION DEADLINE: January 6th\, 2026 (11:59pm Mountain Time)\nNOTIFICATION OF SELECTION: 8 to 12 weeks after deadline \nKlondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) at Dënäkär Zho is now accepting proposals from artists and curators working in all media for the KIAC Artist in Residence Program.  \nSubmissions will be considered for the 2026/27 residency schedule. \nArtist in Residence Program: \nThe KIAC Artist in Residence Program accommodates two artists concurrently – for research\, development and production of ongoing or new bodies of work. Residencies are from 4 – 12 weeks in duration from September to December 2026 and April to July 2027. Artists are provided shared living facilities with individual studio space and bedroom at no cost. Participants are responsible for all travel and personal expenses including food and materials related to their work. \nThe Artist in Residence facilities are located in the Macaulay Residence. Built in 1901\, the home is now owned by Parks Canada as part of the Klondike National Historic Sites: Dawson Historical Complex. \nResidency Guidelines and Application Here\nNote: Fees are not provided nor charged for residencies. \nAccessibility:\nMacaulay House Residence is not wheelchair accessible\, and has several steps to enter the ground level\, with bedrooms and washroom up a flight of stairs on the 2nd floor.
